Abstract
A patient with traumatic anterosuperior dislocation of the mandibular condyle into the temporal fossa without condylar fracture is reported. This form of dislocation is rare - only 2 reports have been published. For this patient, unlike previously reported patients, the intraoral approach was used to perform coronoidotomy and condylotomy, and a favourable result was obtained with the subsequent use of elastic traction.
