Vermilionectomy for Actinic Keratosis of the Lower Lip

Abstract
This report is of a 62-year-old man with actinic keratosis of the lower lip treated by total vermilionectomy (lower lip shave). Histological examination showed that the central part of the lesion was squamous cell carcinoma. No recurrence was noted after 4.5 years of follow-up. Various treatment options for this lesion are discussed.
