Abstract This report describes a patient with 3 metachronous cancers in the oral cavity. The patient had metachronous bilateral oral cancer with the second and third primary cancers appearing on the contralateral or ipsilateral side, completely separate from the site of the primary lesion. All 3 lesions were microscopically confirmed to be squamous cell carcinoma. The patient underwent curative resection of all 3 tumours and neck dissection followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Clinicians should closely monitor patients with oral cancer to treat those with multiple cancers.
