Abstract
Arch bars still play an important role in the treatment of severely dislocated and comminuted fractures as well as in injuries where functional treatment is required. In an effort to optimise stability and reduce operation time, we developed a new titanium arch bar for use in maxillomandibular fixation. This report is an update on old and current methods of maxillomandibular fixation and the application
of this new arch bar.
